The Extension requests the following permissions:
Used to cache extension state (like connection status). No personal data is stored.
Required to communicate with AnkiConnect running on your local machine.
Required to inject the extension API into Oboeru web pages so you can access your Anki decks.
The Extension does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services.
The Oboeru web application (app.oboeru.ai) uses Firebase Authentication for sign-in. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and display name to create your account.
Your Anki data is accessed locally through the browser extension and is not stored on our servers.
Since no Anki data is collected or transmitted to our servers, there are no data security risks beyond those inherent to running Anki Desktop with AnkiConnect on your local machine.
This service does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
